When I was young, I enjoyed a book by Roger Hargreaves (the author of the Mr Men books) called Are you a Roundy or a Squary? Each page contained a simple definition of Roundies and Squaries, and left the choice up to you. To this day, one of the definitions has always stuck in my mind:
"Roundies whistle while they work. Squaries are too busy working."
Decades later, I discovered that I had become a Squary. I was too busy working to even notice that I was too busy working. I certainly hadn't whistled for a very long time.
My quest then was how to get back to being a Roundy. My quest now is to help others to do the same.
You've probably heard the saying that if you discover a job that you love doing, then you'll never work a day in your life. Well I don't know if it's 100% true, but I do know that if you discover what you love doing, and a way to enjoy doing it, then you'll be a Roundy. Because Roundies whistle while they work.
