Have you ever put off doing something you want to do because you didn't have all your ducks in a row? For example, perhaps you're unhappy in your job, but you're put off looking for a new one because you don't have the right qualifications.
Or you want to start a blog, but you haven't yet mastered WordPress?
Or you want to start your own business, but you don't have a clue about how to launch it.
Or you have a secret dream to do a Charity trek in Nepal, but you're worried that you won't be able to raise enough money for it.
We all have days when we feel like there are too many ducks, and they don't want to get in a row. We all have big goals that we put off starting because something else stops you, or because you don't know if it will be perfect.
Let's face it - perfection is unobtainable. And if you wait until all your ducks are in a row then you'd never do anything at all.
What if you looked at it differently? What if you make a decision that all it takes is one duck? That first duck in the row only has to be the decision to get started. And the second duck could be the mind-set - what if I start from where I am now?
So if you're thinking of a new job - put out feelers, update your CV, or look at what training opportunities there are in your chosen path.
If you're going to start a blog, write one article and share it on Facebook or whatever platform you're already comfortable with, sign up to a blogging tutorial, or list ideas in your journal.
If you want to start your own business, start describing your dream customer, define your one, perfect "signature" product or service that you'd offer, or sign up for some small business start-up help from your bank or the local chamber of commerce.
If you're going to do a Charity trek in Nepal, start listing all the ways in which you can raise money, clear out your old clothes and sell them at a car boot sale, or set up a Just Giving or MyDonate page and share it on Facebook to all your friends.
And if you want help to make your change, then what about enlisting our help? We have a free online programme called Make That Change in 30 Days, which includes a workbook, templates, daily email support and a Facebook group. You can sign up here.
All it takes is one duck, and you've begun to make progress. The other ducks will start to form a row all by themselves.
